How does the Nicene Creed express our faith in Christ’s divinity?

Mission Lab

Speaking of Christ’s divinity, the Nicene Creed states that He is: “God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten not made, consubstantial with the Father.”

The principal teaching of the Catholic Church about Jesus Christ is that He is God made man. He is the God-man Whom we hear speaking to us in the Gospels and Whom we receive in the Holy Eucharist.

It is to Jesus with the Father and the Holy Spirit that we pray: “Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.”
