Reconnect with God & Have Fun

As a Family
In the busyness of daily family life, it can be so easy to push God to the side. What if there was a place to take your family away from the world for a few days, to reconnect with God and have fun—together? That’s why we created the Holy Family Fest. During this weeklong event at Catholic Familyland®, each member of your family will be drawn to a life-changing encounter with Our Lord that makes the Faith come alive. So that your family can begin to experience the peace, joy, and unity of a balanced and God-centered family life, and then take that experience home. This year, don’t leave God behind when you go on vacation. Instead, meet Him there.

The Best Catholic Family Vacation. Ever.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! We just attended our first Catholic Family Land event. We will be back next year. Fun, holy and great friendships were formed! Much appreciation to all of the staff who puts their heart and soul into the programs.Craig, via Facebook
Our family had an amazing time! The Holy Family Fest was a wonderful opportunity to grow in faith, build community with other Catholic families, and have fun. We are so grateful that a place like this exists and for the apostolate that makes it all possible!Jessica, via Facebook
We love coming here to rekindle our Catholic Faith. It is a great place for families with children. The teenage programs are great. They have been a catalyst for our kids at that age.Kristin, via Facebook
Our family of eight has been spending a week at Catholic Familyland every summer for the past five summers. We pray, swim, ride ponies and horses, go to Mass, dance, go to confession, make s’mores, pray the rosary, make friends, go to adoration, ride water slides, and listen to inspirational speakers all in one week! The teen program is twice a day and is dynamic. We all have a ton of fun while being filled up spiritually at the same time. They truly understand families.Amanda, via Facebook

After I register, will I receive a confirmation?

Yes, once you submit your registration, we’ll send you a confirmation email within 1–2 weeks.

A few weeks before the event, we will send you another email letting you know when and where to check in.

What is your payment policy?

Payment for your registration package is due at the time you register.

Full payment is due no later than 60 days before the event start date. Within this 60-day period, if the credit card transaction is declined, you will have 7 days to correct the situation before your registration is cancelled and your lodging is opened up to another family.

We appreciate initial payment of the full amount, as it helps us procure items to prepare for the event, but it is not required.

What is your refund /cancellation policy?

Cancellations which occur 60 or more days before the start date of your Holy Family Fest will receive a full refund minus a $100 nonrefundable deposit.

Cancellations which occur 30–59 days before the event start date will receive a refund of 50% of your payment (for paid totals in excess of $200) or your full payment minus the $100 nonrefundable deposit (for paid totals less than $200).

No refunds will be given within 29 days of the event start date. Payments that are lost due to cancellation are nontransferable.

I am a single parent. Can my family come?

Yes, single parents (divorced, separated, widowed, or otherwise) and their families are welcome to attend a Holy Family Fest. We want you to know—in a special way—that the Church loves and supports you. During the Holy Family Fest, we offer a workshop designed for any parents who are raising children on their own.

Are your events for families only? Or are singles, widowed people, & grandparents also welcome?

Yes, singles, widowed people, and grandparents are welcome to attend a Holy Family Fest!

Can I bring a friend?

Yes! When you register your family, please register your friend(s) or other persons who will be accompanying and staying with your family for the event. Any non-family member under 18 will need to have a parent fill out and submit a Child Release of Liability Form.

Separate registration fees apply for non-family members (children and adults).

Can a priest come to a Holy Family Fest? What about lodging & meals for him? What will he do during the event?

Yes, priests are most welcome to attend any of our events! They are free to attend alone or come with a family.

We ask that each priest register by filling out our Visiting Priest Form online. We will be happy to provide a retreat room and meals for the week at no charge.

The priest (or the family who invited him) is welcome to make a freewill offering to cover food and lodging expenses through our online donation page. (Please make a note in the comment box "For Fr. ______'s stay").

As part of their registration, each priest must submit a letter of good standing to both of the following entities:

ATTN: Fr. Thomas Chillog

Diocese of Steubenville

422 Washington St.

P.O. Box 969

Steubenville, OH 43952

Fax: 740–282–3327

ATTN: Renèe Scheu

Apostolate for Family Consecration

3375 County Rd 36

Bloomingdale, OH 43910

Fax: 740–765–5561

We invite all priests to concelebrate at Mass each day and to help administer the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Since we do not have enough albs for all the visiting clergy, we ask that priests bring their own albs. Priests are also welcome to participate in any activities taking place during the event.
