Share the Message of Family Consecration
Bring AFC℠ to Your Parish
By hosting a Family Consecration Workshop, you can bring the message of Family Consecration to Jesus, through Mary, in union with St. Joseph to families in your local community. These workshops form families in the AFC’s spirituality so that they can prepare for, make, and live out Family Consecration when they return home. In addition, the Family Consecration Workshop brings together families with shared values, helping them find support by connecting with other families in their community.
Each Family Consecration Workshop is approximately 2 hours long and is primarily for families that have not yet consecrated themselves to the Holy Family. The workshop covers:
- What Family Consecration is
- How to consecrate your family
- What to do next
All family members – parents, teens, and kids – are encouraged to attend the workshop. However, you may want to offer childcare for kids under 8, who may not be able to sit through the full workshop.
You can host a workshop in your parish, home, or another meeting space.

Why Family Consecration?
For more than 50 years, the AFC℠ has been teaching families about Family Consecration to Jesus, through Mary, in union with St. Joseph.
Families that live the spirituality of Family Consecration defy the odds. Instead of seeing half of their children leave the Catholic Faith, these families are blessed to see most (if not all) of their children remain active in the Church as adults, with many discerning vocations to the priesthood and religious life, and still more building holy marriages and families.
Our desire is to share this message of hope with every family in America.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in the event planning resource package?
The event planning resource package includes a coordinator checklist, event planning manual, advertising content, kids’ activity guide (including AFC℠ coloring page PDFs), emcee guide, fundraising templates, post-event follow-up resources, and more.
Is there a fee for booking a Discovery Call?
No. A Discovery Call is your time to discuss the possibility of a Family Consecration Workshop. A fee will only be charged if and when a workshop is booked.
I have an itinerary in mind, and it looks different than the schedules listed above. Is that ok?
Yes. While each workshop is about 2 hours long, the exact schedule can vary. The schedules provided on this page are here to be an example of what a workshop could look like. Our team will work with you to craft a schedule suitable to your needs.
Do I need to offer childcare during the workshop?
While not required, offering childcare for kids under 8 is encouraged to help reduce the obstacles for a family to participate. This could be a great opportunity for your parish youth group or Confirmation class to get some service hours.
Can people who have already made their Family Consecration attend?
Of course! It is never a bad idea to be refreshed in the knowledge of Family Consecration.
Can people who have another consecration (to Mary, to Joseph, etc.) attend?
Yes. Making one type of consecration does not prevent someone from making another.
Can I book an AFC speaker to cover a different topic?
If you are interested in hearing about a different aspect of the AFC’s message, please reach out to our team and we will be happy to discuss other possibilities.
