Fr. Joe Freedy

Speaking Holy Family Fest 1 (June 6-12)

Fr. Joe Freedy is the youngest of 5 children and grew up in Pittsburgh, PA. Fr. Joe played football at the University at Buffalo where he was the starting quarterback for 3 years. After college he entered the seminary and was assigned to study in Rome at the Gregorian University and the John Paul II Institute. Ordained a Priest in 2008, Fr. Joe served as the vocation director and assistant evangelization director and is currently the assistant at Divine Grace Parish in the Diocese of Pittsburgh. He is also a spiritual advisor for Dry Bones Ministries.

Doug Johnson

Speaking Holy Family Fest 1 (June 6-12)

Doug Johnson is a husband, father of 8, and educator living in Texas. He is married to Catholic pro-life speaker Abby Johnson, and together they are passionate about building strong families and vibrant Catholic communities. Doug teaches P.E. and coaches multiple sports at a small Catholic school, where he enjoys mentoring young people both on and off the field. He loves speaking about the beauty of family life, the importance of small Christian communities, and the grace found in the sacraments—especially the Eucharist, Confession, and the vocation of marriage.

Fr. Joseph Gill

Speaking Holy Family Fest 2 (June 13-19)

Fr. Joseph Gill is a priest of the Diocese of Bridgeport, a pastor, and a high school chaplain and teacher at a classical Catholic high school. Originally from Maryland, he grew up attending CFL, which was very formative in his faith journey and vocational discernment. He is a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville (2005) and Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Maryland, having been ordained in 2013. He has published several albums of Christian music, available on Spotify and YouTube. 

Dave VanVickle

Speaking Holy Family Fest 2 (June 13-19)

Dave VanVickle fell in love with the Lord at the age of 14 and has dedicated his life to bringing others into a radical relationship with Christ. A popular speaker and retreat leader, he presents on topics related to spiritual warfare, the universal call to holiness, and authentic Catholic spirituality. He is a graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville and has years of experience assisting priests with their ministries of deliverance and exorcism. He also co-hosts the Ascension podcast “Every Knee Shall Bow.” Dave resides in Pittsburgh with his five children.

 Speaking Holy Family Fest 3 (June 27-July 3)

Fr. Dave Pivonka TOR became president of Franciscan University of Steubenville on May 21, 2019. The well-known Catholic speaker and author graduated from Franciscan University with his BA in theology in 1989, then earned an MDiv, MA in theology, doctorate in education, and executive juris doctorate. He has hosted multiple video series, written 8 books, and is a regular contributor to Hallow, the prayer app. A solemnly professed member of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Province of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis of Penance, Father Pivonka was ordained to the priesthood in 1996.

Fr. Allen Hoffa

Speaking Holy Family Fest 3 (June 27-July 3)

Fr. Allen Hoffa was trained for the priesthood at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy and Master of Divinity. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Allentown on June 6, 2009. During Fr. Hoffa’s priestly ministry he has served in a number of ministries including: Parochial Vicar, Chaplain, and Catholic Youth Event Speaker and Worship Leader. Fr. Hoffa speaks to audiences of all levels. His most recent talk, “It Used To Be Drama and Now It’s Trauma,” focuses on teen and parent tips and tools to remain steadfast amidst a culture overcome by the pornography industry.

Deacon Ben Gessler has the joy of serving at both Triumph of the Cross Parish – Holy Rosary Church, Steubenville, Ohio, and at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Mingo Junction. He has been privileged to work for Franciscan University in Advancement for 14 years and is currently Senior Donor Relations Officer. He completed his MA in Theology and Christian Ministry in 2024 and is currently pursuing his D. Min. at Franciscan. Deacon Ben, whose life was miraculously saved by the Blessed Mother, the extraordinary witness of his wife, Mariely, his family, and the prayers of so many, bears on his ordination ring John 11:25: “I AM the Resurrection and the Life.”

Mike DiCosola

Speaking Holy Family Fest 4 (July 4-10)

Mike DiCosola is the Director of Mission Engagement for Paradisus Dei, where he leads the Missionaries to the Family initiative. He and his wife Heather were commissioned as Missionaries in 2021 and together help lead marriage preparation activities at their home parish, Our Lady of Consolation in Rockford, Michigan. Mike has been actively involved in lay ministry for more than 25 years and has been a featured speaker at retreats, seminars, and conferences across the globe. He is a dedicated Catholic whose mission in life is to get his wife and family to heaven, along with anyone else who is willing come along for the ride!

Bishop Ronald Gainer

Speaking Holy Family Fest 5 (July 11-17)

The Most Reverend Ronald W. Gainer was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Allentown on May 19, 1973. Originally from Pottsville, PA, Bishop Gainer was appointed the Bishop of Lexington in 2003 and the Bishop of Harrisburg in 2014. He earned his Master of Divinity from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia as well as a licentiate degree in Canon Law and a diploma in Latin Letters from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. For much of his priesthood, Bishop Gainer served in parish, campus ministry, marriage and family ministry, and tribunal positions. Bishop Gainer’s request for retirement was accepted by Pope Francis on April 25, 2023.

Fr. Jason Charron

Speaking Holy Family Fest 6 (July 25-31)

Fr. Jason Charron is a Byzantine Catholic priest, ordained in 2008, and pastor of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church in Carnegie, Pennsylvania. He has been married for 26 years and is the father of seven children. He is widely known for his work on behalf of Ukraine, especially for helping rescue 22 orphans and 20 children with their mothers during the first days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Fr. Jason holds a master’s degree in theology, and has taught theology, rhetoric, homiletics, and Eastern Christian spirituality in a variety of settings. He also serves as spiritual advisor to the College of St. Joseph the Worker in Steubenville.

Deacon Gerry Robinson

Speaking Holy Family Fest 6 (July 25-31)

Gerry Robinson is a Permanent Deacon assigned to a parish in Central Pennsylvania in the Diocese of Harrisburg. He is the author of the books, The Joy of Children and Analogy Apologetics. He and his wife Mary are the parents of 11 children. As part of his talks, Gerry frequently shares family experiences, like having eight teenagers under one roof simultaneously, to show that God is present everywhere and reveals Himself and His truths in everyday life.

Ryan Budd

Speaking Holy Family Fest 7 (August 1-7)

Rev. Mr. Ryan Patrick Budd is a deacon of the Diocese of Steubenville, and is in ministry at Christ Our Light parish and St. Benedict school in Cambridge. He holds Master of Divinity and Bachelor of Sacred Theology degrees from the Dominican House of Studies (Washington, DC) and Mount St. Mary’s Seminary (Emmitsburg, MD). Deacon Budd has spoken at many retreats and conferences, and is the author of Salvation Stories: Family, Failure, and God’s Saving Work in Scripture, as well as several published essays and academic articles. Dr. Matthew Breuninger

After nine years as a professor at Franciscan University, Dr. Matt Breuninger transitioned into full-time clinical practice as a psychologist. He is the founder of Wellspring Counseling & Coaching, a group practice rooted in the wisdom of the Catholic tradition. Dr. Breuninger is an international speaker on the integration of psychology and faith, and the author of Finding Freedom in Christ: Healing Life’s Hurts. When not at work, Dr. Breuninger enjoys life at home with his wife and their six children—wandering the woods, fishing, sipping tea by the fireplace, and tending to the ever-growing collection of animals on their homestead.

 Abby Johnson went to work for Planned Parenthood believing she would be helping women. However, after witnessing a live, ultrasound-guided abortion procedure, it became clear: abortion only caused harm, destruction and devastation. Upon that realization, Abby left her job in the abortion industry and has been sharing her experiences ever since. Her story was chronicled in a best-selling book, titled Unplanned, which was later turned into a major motion picture.  Abby’s greatest blessing is her vocation of wife and mother. She lives in Texas with her husband and 8 beautiful children. 

Kris Frank

With over 15 years of experience in parish and non-profit work, Kris Frank serves as the Vice President of Mission Advancement for the National Eucharistic Congress, Inc. He has also been privileged to travel around the country, sharing the Gospel with teens and adults at retreats, camps, conferences, and parish missions. Kris has also written two books, Hope. Always. and Embracing Hope in Christ. Further, he has contributed to various evangelical and catechetical writing projects and publications. He now lives in Steubenville, Ohio, with his wife, Grace, and their six children.

Pete and Tricia DeMaio have been married for 20 years, have 7 beautiful children, and have taught marriage prep and NFP for nearly 15 years. They have participated in and led a variety of work in pro-life ministry. In 2024, Pete and Tricia launched Mission Love and Life, a Catholic, pro-life non-profit dedicated to fostering a culture of life and love. By promoting a culture of love that mirrors Christ’s love for humanity, they cultivate a nurturing  and educational atmosphere where individuals can learn, grow, and find purpose.

Gina Bauer

Gina Bauer is a dynamic and entertaining speaker, teacher, trainer, and author. Her book, Undivided Love: You Are Worth the Fight, is based on St. John Paul II’s Apostolic letter to women. With years of experience serving dioceses, parishes, families, youth/young adults, men and women’s groups, Gina captivates and engages her audience with lively stories and humor. Gina is also working with Impact Center, whose ministry is to those who serve within the Church, especially those who are on the front lines.

Santonio Hill is a dynamic, passionate speaker with a degree in philosophy from the Catholic University of America. For over a decade, Santonio has been actively involved in youth and young adult ministry. He has spoken at conferences, workshops, retreats, colleges, and more. He was previously the Executive Director of Gift of Mary Women’s Shelter and Director of Recruitment for Vagabond Missions. Currently based in Pittsburgh, PA, Santonio resides with his wife Kristen and their children, Fatima and Andre.

For over thirty years. Chris Padgett has been doing ministry across the country. Whether he’s giving keynotes or concerts, writing articles or giving interviews, Chris conveys the importance of who Jesus is and what He does, and will do, in the lives of His people. A convert to the Roman Catholic Church, he has been blessed with the most amazing wife and nine children. In 2006, Chris graduated with an M.A in theology from Franciscan University. He has done doctoral work at the International Marian Research Institute and has his doctorate in Sacred Theology.

Dr. John Acquaviva holds a PhD in exercise science and is a professor at Wingate University. He has given hundreds of presentations to fitness professionals, parishes, youth groups, and campus ministries. Dr. Acquaviva has written three books: Improving Your Sportsmanship Through Catholic Teaching, Improving Your Body Image Through Catholic Teaching, and Improving Your Kids’ Body Image Through Catholic Teaching. Host of the Radio Maria show, Faith and Sport, Dr. Acquaviva resides in Matthews, NC, with his wife Alecia and five children.

Shahin Uddin’s life is a story of resilience, faith, and transformation. Born in rural Bangladesh, he grew up without electricity, running water, or shoes. At 12, he arrived in the U.S., and at 13, he quietly gave his life to Christ. Over the past 22 years, he has built a distinguished military career across multiple disciplines. Shahin is married to his high school sweetheart, Maggie, and together they are raising 12 children. His journey reflects unwavering perseverance, spiritual growth, and the pursuit of the American dream against all odds.

They have over 20 years of youth ministry and music ministry experience. Noelle and David live in Oklahoma with their six kids ranging in age from 6 to 16. In their free time, they enjoy playing Uno, four square, and watching reruns of The Office.
