On February 25, thirty-one families (197 participants) gathered in Madison, WI, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish for the second annual mini Holy Family Fest. Bishop Donald J. Hying celebrated the Mass (pictured below). During Eucharistic Adoration, AFC Chaplain Fr. Kevin Barrett led the Family Consecration prayer to the Holy Family. He also encouraged families to use the 7-Day Preparation for Family Consecration booklet to renew their consecration. A big thanks to the many volunteers who helped make this event happen!
Raising the Roof!
We just removed the drop ceiling in our retreat center dining room, along with the unsightly support columns. Now, we're putting the finishing touches on the newly installed ceiling joists. At your next retreat, you'll notice that the dining room feels more open and inviting.

New Board of Directors
On March 11, AFC Life Members gathered to elect 4 new members to the Board of Directors. Afterwards, the AFC Board of Directors elected Beth Phillips (pictured above, third from the left) as the new chairwoman of the Board.
Life Members also received an update on AFC internal affairs, covering everything from improvements in financial stability to future plans for improving the infrastructure at Catholic Familyland®.
