March 2020 | Your Best Family Adventure Starts Here
Since 1989, over 100,000 people from across the United States and other countries have been impacted by our events. For the past 10 years, we have averaged about 4,600 participants annually. Seventy-five percent of those participants (about 3,500 people) return each year to receive continuous formation and support through Catholic Familyland® (CFL).
CFL is a place set apart where families can grow together in truth and holiness. Through our events, we assist families to develop a holiness of life that embraces all aspects of the family in imitation of the Holy Family: prayer, relationships, spiritual formation, recreation, and work, among others.
Last February, over 100 young people gathered together for the Duc In Altum Youth Retreat℠ to re-energize their faith, deepen their encounter with Jesus and strengthen their bond with each other. While the youth focused on their relationship with Christ, identity, and mission, about 25 adult volunteers helped with retreat meals and facilities related projects around CFL. Towards the end of the month, we hosted an Alone with God Retreat℠ for women. About 38 women carved out time from their busy home settings to learn about St.Therese and spiritual childhood from Fr. William Wagner, O.R.C.
We aim to make 2020 an even better year to reinvigorate and renew families. Here’s some of what you can look forward to at this year’s Holy Family Fest℠.
Speakers for Morning Programs.
We’ve scheduled a number of inspiring Catholic speakers to teach your family the Faith this summer. Included are Matthew Leonard (founder of Next Level Catholic Academy), Mike and Alicia Hernon (founders of Messy Family Project), Dr. Ralph Martin (president of Renewal Ministries), and more. Learn more on the Holy Family Fest page.
Staff Skits Are Back.
Get to know the talented and committed staff who run our various programs and help make your week an inspiring and enjoyable adventure.
Family Healing Holy Hour.
We’re trying something different this year! After Sunday skit night we will have Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Confession, and prayer ministry as part of a Family Healing Holy Hour. What a great way to start our week together!
Family to Family Gift Program.
Also new this year is the Family to Family Gift Program. Through this program, families can make a gift to help cover the cost of a Holy Family Fest for families that are not financially able to attend. We want as many families as possible to experience CFL.
