The mystery of Salvation began with the creation of angels and of the world.
We fallen creatures quite often think of Salvation only in terms of being saved from sin and Hell. But more importantly, we are saved for God, to share in His happiness for all eternity. This is the end for which mankind and the angels were first created. God’s plan for our Salvation was at work in the universe from the first moment of its creation. Creation itself, for instance, points to God, its Maker. This fact, known by God from all eternity, would later help many fallen humans to recognize the One to Whom they owe their primary allegiance (cf. Romans 1:18-20).
