Fr. Kevin Returns

Dear AFC Family,

I’m excited to announce that Fr. Kevin Barrett will return to the Apostolate for Family Consecration® in May 2020 to serve as our full-time chaplain. The decision was made after prayer and mutual discernment by Fr. Kevin and the AFC’s Board of Directors, and the appropriate ecclesiastical authorities have granted their permission.

When he returns, Fr. Kevin will serve as the main celebrant and homilist for this year’s Holy Family Fests.

About Fr. Kevin

Fr. Kevin Barrett’s preaching has been instrumental in spreading the AFC’s message of Family Consecration for many years.

After a pilgrimage to Fatima in 1982 that opened his heart to the priesthood, Fr. Kevin met AFC founders Jerry and Gwen Coniker and joined the AFC’s mission to sanctify families—first as a Catholic Corps Member and later as a chaplain. Fr. Kevin was ordained by Pope St. John Paul II in 1992 and served for twenty-three years as the AFC’s chaplain. From 2016–2020, Fr. Kevin ministered in the Diocese of Cheyenne, WY.

Please keep Fr. Kevin in your prayers during this transition. I know many of you are as excited to welcome him back as I am!
