So many memories were made as families played water games, paddled canoes, and joined in the bonfire rosary. The highlight was having Father Klem preach three homilies that explained the history and mission of the AFC. One young mother explained, “we signed up to come to this because I just thought, ‘Catholic camping sounded like fun.’ I had no idea the Holy Spirit was leading us here to become part of something so important”.
Plans are already being made for next year and some participants in Alabama immediately signed up for a Holy Family Fest at CFL in Ohio!
Deacon and Patrice Lappert and family, and the Sciaroni and Rivers families are all filled with gratitude to the Holy Family, the AFC, Bishop Baker, Father Klem, the staff at Camp Tekakwitha, and the families who joined us for helping to make this first mini Holy Family Fest such a "success". Praise be to Jesus Christ!
